Data Deletion Instructions

SocialGenieAI is committed to your privacy and gives you full control over your data. Below are the ways you can remove your data from our platform.

1. Disconnect a Social Media Channel

To remove SocialGenieAI's access to a specific social media account and delete associated data for that channel:

1. Log in to your SocialGenieAI account
2. Navigate to the Channels page from the sidebar
3. Find the channel you want to disconnect
4. Click the trash icon on the channel's card and confirm Disconnect

This revokes our access and immediately deletes the access tokens and the channel's data we stored. For a YouTube channel, this deletes all YouTube data we stored about it, including its channel ID, name, handle, thumbnail and the IDs of videos you published through SocialGenieAI.

Deleting data stored by SocialGenieAI does not affect any data stored by the social media platform: your published posts and videos stay there. To delete data on YouTube, such as your videos, use YouTube or another authorized app that supports deleting it.

2. Remove App Permissions from Social Platforms

You can also revoke SocialGenieAI's access directly from each social media platform:

Facebook & Instagram

1. Go to your Facebook Settings & Privacy
2. Click Settings
3. Navigate to Apps and Websites
4. Find SocialGenieAI in the list
5. Click Remove

Threads

1. Open the Threads app or go to threads.net
2. Go to Settings → Account → Website permissions
3. Find SocialGenieAI and revoke access

LinkedIn

1. Go to LinkedIn Settings & Privacy
2. Navigate to Data privacy → Permitted services
3. Find SocialGenieAI and click Remove

YouTube (Google)

1. Go to your Google Account at myaccount.google.com
2. Navigate to Security → Third-party apps with account access
3. Find SocialGenieAI and click Remove Access

You can also go directly to myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you remove access there, we delete all YouTube data we stored about your channel within 24 hours.

TikTok

1. Open TikTok and go to Settings and Privacy
2. Navigate to Security → Manage app permissions
3. Find SocialGenieAI and revoke access

3. Delete Your Account

To permanently delete your SocialGenieAI account and all associated data, please contact us at support@socialgenie.ai with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".

4. Data Deletion Callback (Facebook/Instagram)

In compliance with Meta's platform policies, SocialGenieAI supports automatic data deletion callbacks. When you remove our app from your Facebook or Instagram settings, Meta notifies us and we automatically initiate deletion of your associated data.

Processing Time

Data deletion requests, including account deletion requests, are processed within 7 calendar days. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been fully removed. Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently purged.
